When it may fit

Our assessment of the published programs

  • Eligible Alaska Native-owned or Native-Area businesses seeking startup or growth credit.

What to weigh carefully

  • Projects involving illegal activity or high-risk enterprises are excluded; confirm qualifying-area status, collateral and repayment terms.

Questions before you accept an offer

  1. How is my Native ownership or qualifying-area eligibility documented?
  2. What guarantees, security and owner contribution apply?

Ask for written terms. Compare net cash received, total repayment, fees, payment timing and early-payoff costs for the same financing need.

Prepare your comparison

Use the same questions and figures for each offer you receive.
