A second look at Rapid Finance

Rapid Finance offers loans, revolving credit and future-receivables purchases, with affiliated lending and arranging entities. Consumer pages and dated partner guides advertise different ranges, so confirm the product and channel behind an offer.

Hybrid direct provider and arranger. Its disclosure names Small Business Financial Solutions, LLC for California term loans, credit lines and factoring; that company and Rapid Financial Services, LLC provide those products outside California. Commercial Servicing Company, LLC arranges financing. Confirm the contracting entity for each offer.

Small business loan

Consumer-page amount and term
$5,001–$1 million; 3–60 months, subject to approval. These are advertised ranges, not a guaranteed direct-loan offer.
Payments
Consumer product page lists automatic fixed daily, weekly or monthly payments.
Partner-channel scope
March 10, 2026 guide lists $5,001–$600,000 and narrower terms. Its entry screen is 2 years operating, $10,000 monthly sales and 600 FICO; longer-term tiers can require more operating history.
Fees
Partner guide lists no origination fee for this program. This does not establish a fee-free loan or universal pricing across channels.
State restrictions in partner guide
Term loans unavailable in NJ, MT, NV, RI, VT, ND and SD; additional entity-type restrictions apply.
Documents
Consumer page requests identification, business bank information and three months of bank statements; additional information can be required.

Business line of credit

Consumer-page range
$5,001–$250,000 with 3–18 month amortization; term may reset on each draw. Fees or interest apply.
Partner-channel range
April 2, 2026 guide describes $5,001–$100,000 and 12-month terms, with weekly payments and term reset after each draw.
Partner eligibility
At least 2 years operating and 600 FICO. March product guide additionally lists $10,000 monthly sales. Minimums do not assure approval.
Partner fees
4% of each draw, plus a weekly balance fee based on average daily balance. The balance-fee rate is not stated in the reviewed guide.
Initial draw
Partner guide requires an initial draw: generally $1,000 minimum; its first-page California footnote states $5,000.
Direct-provider distinction
The product page says its linked-card loans are originated and funded by Rapid Finance, not the card issuer SoFi Bank.

Merchant cash advance / future-receivables purchase

Structure
Upfront funds in exchange for future credit-card or other receivables purchased at a discount; distinguish this from a loan.
Consumer-page amount
$5,000–$500,000. The separate March partner guide lists $5,001–$600,000 for its SBF/MCA program; confirm the applicable channel.
Remittance and duration
Consumer page describes automatic payments tied to receivables, with no fixed payment term. Its 3–18 month completion range is an estimate dependent on performance.
Fees
Consumer page says fees may be deducted from the advance. Partner guide lists no origination fee for its program; obtain the actual net advance and purchased amount.
Partner-channel eligibility
March guide lists 2 years operating, 600 FICO and $10,000 monthly credit-card processing volume. Some estimated-duration tiers differ.
Partner-channel exclusions
March guide excludes California, Connecticut, Texas and Virginia from its SBF/MCA program.

When it may fit

Our assessment of the published programs

  • Editorial assessment: worth comparing for an operating business seeking a lump sum or repeat access to working capital, provided its cash flow supports the offered payment schedule.
  • Editorial assessment: business owners who want several structures should compare actual offers separately; a receivables purchase and an installment loan have different obligations.

What to weigh carefully

  • Public consumer ranges and dated partner criteria differ. Do not apply one maximum, minimum score or fee schedule to every Rapid Finance offer.
  • The partner guide prohibits several industries, including auto dealers, trucking, lending services and marijuana-related businesses. Confirm current industry, state and entity eligibility before applying.
  • The site advertises funding within hours after approval; this is conditional, not an end-to-end approval or funding guarantee.
  • No universal APR, personal-guarantee rule or early-payoff savings was established from these sources. Compare the actual contract and total cost.

Questions before you accept an offer

  1. Which legal entity funds this offer, and is Rapid providing or arranging it?
  2. Which consumer or partner program applies, and what current minimums and state restrictions govern it?
  3. Is this a loan or a purchase of receivables, and what happens to payments if sales fall?
  4. What are the cash deposited, total repayment or purchased amount, all fees, and payment schedule?
  5. For a credit line, what is the balance-fee rate, what does each draw cost, and how does a draw reset repayment?
  6. What guarantee, collateral, UCC filing, default conditions and early-payoff provisions apply?

Ask for written terms. Compare net cash received, total repayment, fees, payment timing and early-payoff costs for the same financing need.

OnDeck

Compare OnDeck for a business loan or credit line using net proceeds, total cost and payment frequency.

Credibly

Compare Credibly for working-capital financing; distinguish its direct products from partner options and compare the same structure.
