When it may fit

Our assessment of the published programs

  • Vermont businesses able to combine owner equity and other financing for a productive project.

What to weigh carefully

  • This program excludes refinancing and lines of credit.
  • Longer property amortization can leave a balance at maturity; government-guaranteed enrollment can change terms.

Questions before you accept an offer

  1. Who will fund the rest of project cost?
  2. What balance remains at maturity and what guarantees apply?

Ask for written terms. Compare net cash received, total repayment, fees, payment timing and early-payoff costs for the same financing need.

Prepare your comparison

Use the same questions and figures for each offer you receive.
