When it may fit

Our assessment of the published programs

  • BusinessLine is worth comparing for ongoing operating expenses where an owner accepts personal guarantees.
  • Prime Line may fit larger asset-backed working-capital needs with financial statements available.

What to weigh carefully

  • The BusinessLine credit/history thresholds do not establish eligibility for Prime Line.
  • Unsecured does not mean owners have no personal liability.
  • Ask about transaction-specific fees and how outstanding principal is due when a secured line matures.

Questions before you accept an offer

  1. Which credit-line product is being quoted?
  2. What spread, rate floor, annual fee and transaction fees apply?
  3. Who must guarantee, and which assets are pledged?
  4. When must the principal be repaid, and what happens if renewal is declined?

Ask for written terms. Compare net cash received, total repayment, fees, payment timing and early-payoff costs for the same financing need.
